Quyidagilar Hududiy boshqarmaning asosiy vazifalari hisoblanadi:

– yuridik va jismoniy shaxslar tomonidan (aholidan tashqari) yoqilg‘i-energiya resurslarini ishlab chiqarish (qazib olish), qayta ishlash, uzatish (tashish), taqsimlash va isteʼmol qilish, ularning sifat va miqdor jihatidan saqlanishini taʼminlash sohasidagi qonunchilik hujjatlari hamda texnik jihatdan tartibga solish sohasidagi normativ hujjatlar talablariga rioya etilishi ustidan davlat nazoratini amalga oshirish;

– elektr, gaz uzatish va gaz taqsimlash tarmoqlariga noqonuniy ulanish, yoqilg‘i-energiya resurslarini talon-toroj qilish va noqonuniy isteʼmol qilishning boshqa holatlarini, shuningdek, ularni sodir etishga imkon beruvchi sabab va shart-sharoitlarni aniqlash, bartaraf etish va ularning oldini olish;

– bevosita isteʼmolchilar tomonidan foydalanilgan hamda tegishli hududlar chegarasidagi tarmoqlarga yetkazib berilgan yoqilg‘i-energiya resurslari hajmi o‘rtasidagi tafovutlarni aniqlash va bartaraf etish;

– yuridik va jismoniy shaxslar tomonidan (aholidan tashqari) energetika obyektlarida baxtsiz hodisalar va texnologik buzilishlar (avariyalar) oldini olish chora-tadbirlari ishlab chiqilishi va  bajarilishini nazorat qilish;

– qayta tiklanuvchi energiya manbalari qurilmalarini hamda energiya samarador va energiya tejovchi zamonaviy texnologiyalarni joriy qilish, shuningdek, energiya resurslarini isteʼmol qilish samaradorligi monitoringini yuritish;

– yoqilg‘i-energiya resurslaridan oqilona va samarali foydalanishni taʼminlash bo‘yicha isteʼmolchilar (aholidan tashqari) tomonidan bajariladigan chora-tadbirlar samaradorligini baholash, shuningdek, mahsulot birligini ishlab chiqarish (ishlarni bajarish, xizmat ko‘rsatish) uchun yoqilg‘i-energiya resurslari isteʼmolining meʼyorlari taʼminlanishi va kelgusida takomillashtirilishini nazorat qilish.

Responsibilities of the Department:

- implementation of state control over compliance with the requirements of legal acts and technical regulations in the field of production, processing, transfer (transportation), distribution and consumption of fuel and energy resources, ensuring their qualitative and quantitative safety by legal entities and individuals (except the population);

- identification and elimination of illegal connections to electrical, gas transportation and gas distribution networks, theft and other illegal consumption of fuel and energy resources, as well as the causes and conditions accompanying these actions;

- identification and elimination of discrepancies between the volumes of fuel and energy resources supplied to the network and used directly by consumers at the borders of the relevant regions;

- control over the development and implementation by legal entities and individuals (except the population) of measures to prevent technological accidents and accidents at energy facilities;

- introduction of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies, as well as monitoring the efficiency of energy consumption;

- assessment of the effectiveness of measures taken by consumers (except the population) to ensure the rational and efficient use of fuel and energy resources and control over ensuring standards of consumption of fuel and energy resources for the production of a unit of product (work, services) and their further improvement.
